This is how ELECTRONIC MUSIC was made before synthesizers and computers!!!!
Mr Müller, former assistant of Karl Heinz Stockhausen), performs on sine wave generator, FM radio and 3 tape machines. One tape machine is used to gate the sound input and the other two are used to make echo and reverb and overdub.
Michael Dodds created this video for a new track by retro-futurist Atomic Shadow (Rod Mitchell), The World Of Tomorrow.
Diego Stocco has released another sound design video work, the meditative Transformed Rain.
Synthpocalypse update: ‘Mid-century electronica’ artist Atomic Shadow (Rod Mitchell) created this ‘soundtrack for the Mayan inspired 2012 non-event.’
This video is a realtime sound visualisation, made with the custom software Partitura. Sound by Telefon Tel Aviv
Partitura is designed to generate realtime graphics aimed at visualising sound:
The term “Partitura” (score) implies a connection with music, and this metaphor is the main focus of the project. Partitura aims to create a new system for translating sound into visual forms. Inspired by the studies of artists such as Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Oscar Fischinger and Norman McLaren, the images generated by Partitura are based on a precise and coherent system of relationships between various types of geometries.
The main characteristic of this system is its horizontal linear structure, like that of a musical score. It is along this linear environment that the different classes of abstract elements are created and evolve over time according to the sound.
Partitura creates endless evolving abstract landscapes that can respond to musical structures, audio analysis and manual gestural inputs. It is an instrument that visualises sound with both the freedom of spontaneous personal interpretation/improvisation and at the same time maintaining the automations and triggers of mathematical precision.

This is the video from the Live Concert in London, October 1991 that became Christopher Franke’s album “The London Concert”. The concert was performed by Christopher Franke and Edgar Rothermich (aka Richard E. Roth) and it was the only live show by Christopher Franke after he left Tangerine Dream
